Australia's David Oliver hits town, leaves locals fired up

It has been such a pleasure getting to hang out with this lovely man for the last three days. Australia's David Oliver has been touring New Zealand giving photographic workshops, and we were lucky enough to host him for the Wellington leg of the tour. It's not every week you have a captive Grand Master of Photography in the house to ask all sorts of questions of! Alistair was very patient with all the photography talk. :) I am feeling so inspired and full of ideas. Thank you David, for your generosity on so many fronts.

Here's David in action at the Wellington workshop, plus a photo I took of gorgeous little model Ada (who's "free!"). I got some lovely high-key smiling shots of her too but I liked this serious one best. She's a versatile kid! David got some absolutely gorgeous shots of the three children together, using a Profoto light that lets you use shutter speeds of up to 1/8000th of a second (so you can shoot wide open). That's one more for my ever-growing photographic wishlist...
