I came home buzzing from this wedding and still feel all warm inside looking at these photos! After meeting with these guys and clicking with them instantly I had really been looking forward to this day, and it has to be said that everything just fell into place. There was a lot of love and emotion and tears and there were billions and billions of laughs - it was all good. Brigid hadn't planned it that I would shoot any preparation shots but she was running a little late when I arrived, and I was secretly pleased to get the chance to take a few and to catch the look on her mum's face when she came down the stairs. Martijn also had a rather beautiful moment with his mother, just before the ceremony.
Cafe Cecille in Masterton's Queen Elizabeth Park was a real pleasure to shoot in and looked amazing decked out with lights and a floral chandelier from Yvette at Piccadilly. The ceremony was held on the steps and the sun obligingly moved to just the right angle behind the verandah so that the bridal party were in some lovely soft light. Brigid and Martijn had chosen to do their bridal party photos before the ceremony, which meant they could spend more time mingling with their guests before dinner.
As you can probably tell from these images the speeches were pure gold - it was a great night. Thank you Brigid and Martijn for a wonderful day and for letting me share these photos. x
