I am feeling so honoured and just a tad over-excited to be featured in this month's issue of D-Photo. I was one of three photographers interviewed last month by editor Adrian Hatwell for an article on pro tips for taking amazing photos of your kids. These three photos on the opening spread are mine: two are from client shoots and the top right is my gorgeous daughter Eva. She is so stoked to be featured in print and has plans to steal my copy to take along for school news. I'm not sure she deserves to though. I read out the descriptions Adrian had written ("We talk to three of New Zealand's leading portrait artists about creative ways of improving your child photography" and "Catherine Cattanach is a Wellington-based portrait and wedding photographer with a slew of awards to her name, including recently being named a finalist in the portrait category of the international professional 2013 World Photographic Cup contest") Eva's response was: "It makes it sound better than it really is, doesn't it?"
Ahh, the honesty (and accuracy) of children. I love it. :)
